Eagles Gymnastics

Eagles Gymnastics is located in Kansas City, Missouri.  It offers both recreational and competitive gymnastics. For competitive gymnastics, there is the Junior Olympic Program and also Xcel. Both are USAG sanctioned programs. The main difference between the two programs is the Junior Olympic Program is more demanding with the amount of training hours and the meets are all required.  Meets for Xcel are all optional and gymnasts are not required to compete in all events.

Kim Fuchs, owner and head coach, first started coaching gymnastics by renting a school gym at just 18 years old. Then Eagles Gymnastics was opened in 1983 at the building next to the current location of Eagles. Eagles soon outgrew that building and moved into their current location in 1986. Kim has had Eagles Gymnastics for about 33 years. She decided to name the gym Eagles because there was a move on the uneven bars called an Eagle and she thought it would be a nice name.

Kim currently coaches the Junior Olympic teams level 6 - 10 and choreographs all of the gymnast’s routines.  When asked what she most enjoys about coaching, Kim said that she loves the kids she works with, the accomplishment of getting new skills, and the competition because she is very competitive. When asked what she likes least about coaching she said that the parents can be very difficult sometimes.

Eagles Gymnastics is one of the most successful gyms in Kansas City. It has everything a kid could imagine!
